Kathmandu — Police have arrested two senior officials of the Nepal Communist Party (Bahumat) in Morang district for allegedly participating in an election boycott campaign.
According to the Morang District Police Office, Krishna Prasad Chapagain, 56, the district in-charge residing in Sundarharaicha Municipality–10, and Suman Paudel, 37, the district secretary from Damak Municipality–5, were apprehended on Wednesday evening from Buddachowk in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality–6.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chaudhary stated that both individuals were also involved in an incident earlier on Wednesday morning related to a “Hox bomb” found on the north side of the East-West Highway in Sundarharaicha Municipality–11.
Police reported that during the arrest, authorities recovered a motorcycle bearing registration number KO 6 P 5116, five mobile phones of various brands, one party flag, and 107 pamphlets and leaflets from the suspects.
