Kathmandu — Nepal Railway Company Limited has announced a three-day suspension of passenger train services on the Janakpur–Jayanagar route in preparation for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
According to the company, train operations between Jayanagar and Janakpur will be fully halted from Falgun 19 to Falgun 21, 2083 BS, with the election scheduled for Falgun 21, 2083 BS. The suspension is aimed at ensuring a secure and orderly voting process. Border checkpoints along the route will also remain closed during this period.
The Nepal Railway Company confirmed that normal train services will resume on Falgun 22, 2083 BS according to the regular schedule.
