The attack, which occurred on February 28, severely damaged large portions of the school building. Rescue teams spent hours clearing debris before confirming the deaths of 165 students, mostly from primary school.

On the day of the funeral, Minab’s markets were closed, and mourners wore black armbands as a symbol of protest and grief. Peaceful marches were held in several locations, and special prayers were conducted in mosques across the city.

Authorities have temporarily closed the affected school campus and increased security at other educational institutions. Government sources stated that further actions will be decided after the completion and publication of the investigation report. The attack has shocked not only Minab and Iran but also drawn global attention to the ongoing conflict’s human toll.
