Jhapa — The newly constructed ‘Tapasyadham’ in Dhulabari, Mechinagar-10, has become a promising destination for spiritual tourism. Located about 1.5 kilometers north of the Dhulabari turn on the East-West Highway, the center was built at a cost of NPR 13 crore by the Brahma Kumari Rajyoga Service Center Dhulabari.

The site is built on five katthas of land donated free of cost by Vice-Chairperson Bishwaprakash Sharma of the Nepali Congress and his brother Rajyaprakash Sharma in memory of their late parents, Persuram Sharma and Savitradevi.

According to Anusa Didi, the director of the center, Tapasyadham includes meditation halls, spiritual practice areas, a memorial to Prajapita Brahma Baba, residential quarters, and a seminar hall. The facility aims to provide internal and external visitors with opportunities to reduce mental stress and gain spiritual knowledge through Rajyoga and meditation.

The center features replicas of important structures from the international headquarters of Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India, which is expected to attract spiritual tourists from both Nepal and India.

Recently, Rajyogini Usha Didi and Dr. Raj Didi, head of Brahma Kumari Rajyoga Service Nepal, visited Tapasyadham for inspection.

Vice-Chairperson Bishwaprakash Sharma, also a land donor, stated that the family donated the land to honor their parents’ memory and to promote peace and positive energy within the community.
