Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader and dissolved member of the House of Representatives Mohan Acharya said that the Kerung checkpoint could also provide opportunities to many Rasuwali people. However, he demanded that the checkpoint should be fully operational.
Speaking at the Sonam Lhosar program organized by Arukharka Juredhunga Youth Society in Naukunda village, he said, “When the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border crossing will be opened or closed, it will have a direct impact on the people of Rasuwali.”
He said that the road to Rasuwali was closed due to the impact of the roadblock.
He said he did not know the condition of the vehicles and more than 1,000 containers and goods in Chinese territory for the past one year.
Likewise, as a people’s representative, he said that he has good knowledge in the field of infrastructure development and expressed his gratitude to other people’s representatives of Rasuwa for their good support.
He said, “I know very well what to do in the coming days regarding infrastructure. We have built roads in different geographies. Now, we have decided to take Rasuwali brothers and sisters on the same route. ‘
The program was attended by Bagmati MP Prem Tamang, Uttargaya village chief Upendra Lamsal, Naukunda village chairman Nurpu Sangbo Ghale and Amachhodingmo village chairman Buchung Tamang.
