Kathmandu. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government to be serious about the health condition of Ansanrat Gangamaya Adhikari.
A team led by the chairman of the commission Tap Bahadur Magar reached Veer Hospital on Thursday to understand the health condition of the officer. He met doctors including Kedar Century and expressed interest in Gangamaya’s health condition.
After the meeting, the team instructed the hospital to keep Gangamaya in the ICU for treatment at any time due to lack of essential nutrients in his body and narrowing of the nerves.
The team also urged Gangamaya not to choose the path of life-threatening hunger strike for justice. Tikaram Pokharel informed.
Gangamaya, who has been on strike for a long time demanding action against the culprit involved in the murder of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari, has been on death row since the first week of December.
