Chitwan – All necessary election materials and personnel have been deployed to every polling center in the district in preparation for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
According to the Chief Election Office in Chitwan, election staff along with security personnel from Nepal Police and the election police have already reached their assigned polling stations and centers.
Chief Election Officer Bhimsen Karki stated that essential materials and officials have been dispatched across the district. He informed that 51 types of election materials required for voting have been delivered to the respective locations.
The district has a total of 494 polling centers and 162 polling stations. Construction and setup work at all polling centers has begun. A total of 2,964 personnel have been mobilized to conduct the election.
Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal said that security arrangements have been put in place based on a detailed security assessment conducted by the District Security Committee. Polling stations have been categorized into three security tiers, and counting centers have been prepared in all three constituencies.
According to Aryal, vote counting centers have been designated at Khairahani Secondary School for Constituency No. 1, the Exhibition Center of the Chitwan Chamber of Industries for Constituency No. 2, and the building of the Agriculture and Forestry University for Constituency No. 3. CCTV cameras and security fencing have already been installed at the counting venues.
There are a total of 442,082 registered voters across the district’s three constituencies for the House of Representatives election.
