Dhanusha . With only one day left for the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the sculptors (Kaligarh) have decided to paint the idol of Goddess Saraswati. At this time, the sculptors are busy painting the statue of Saraswati and finalizing it.
According to the tradition, most of the community, private schools and educational institutions have set up idols to worship Mother Saraswati.
The family of sculptor Mithila Bihari Pandit of Samsi village 4 Gadhabhetpur of Mahottari district has been affected by painting the idol of the same demand.

For the past one and a half months, his five daughters and one son have been helping to paint 30 small and large idols made for order and sale.
He says that an idol is sold for Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 15,000 depending on the labor, size and investment. According to Pandit, he earns up to Rs 4 lakh annually by making idols of various deities during the season.
Due to the Corona catastrophe and the cold wave, few have been able to make idols this time.
The 55-year-old Pandit has been making idols since he was 15 years old. Sculptures are made by combining bamboo, straw, clay and paint.

This time, he said, orders for 20 idols of Mother Saraswati have arrived. Due to making attractive idols, orders for the idols have been coming to him two months before Saraswati Puja.
Pandit said that his wife, five daughters and a son all helped in making the idol. He has complained that the dust of the postal road is a problem for painting the idol.

‘The dust of the postal road makes it very difficult to paint and decorate statues. Water is not sprinkled on the road while painting the idol placed on the floor, ‘he said. So you have to put it on the fire and paint it as much as you can. ‘
According to the pundit, he used to make idols for his children during the season. On other days, pundits have been doing burial work.
