Kathmandu. Those who are close to the Interfaith Group will be appointed to the vacant posts and members of the Pashupati Area Development Fund. The group is being run by Madhav Kumar Nepal, chairman of the newly formed Samajwadi Party.
According to sources close to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, all the office bearers and members of the fund should be appointed on his recommendation. The Congress and the Maoists also wanted to fill the vacancies in the fund. However, Madhav was adamant that he should be appointed on his recommendation. According to sources, the Prime Minister has agreed to be appointed tonight on the recommendation of the Interfaith Group affiliated to Madhav.
According to sources, the Interfaith Group will also recommend those close to the Maoists and the Nepali Congress for the post of office bearers and members of the fund. Among those affiliated with the Interfaith Group, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Eknath Dhakal have handed over the list to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. The cabinet will appoint them soon.
The Pashupati Area Development Fund decides on the Pashupati Nath Temple and all related works. The fund manages the Pashupati temple, the festivals in the Pashupati area, the puja and all religious activities. Similarly, the fund has the responsibility to build the development of Pashupatinath region, propagate Pashupatinath and raise the religious dignity of the region.
What is Interfaith Group?
The Interfaith Group is affiliated with the Unification Church of South Korea. This group includes people belonging to different religions and parties. Gurus of different religions also belong to the Interfaith Group. Originally this group has been contributing to the work of propagating the Unification Church, expanding the organization of the church.
The Unification Church of Korea also runs a political party in Nepal. The party, called Parivar Dal, won one seat proportionally in the first Constituent Assembly and two seats in the second Constituent Assembly. The chairman of this party is Eknath Dhakal. Eknath is also on the International Steering Committee of the Unification Church. Eknath has been overseeing the entire work of the Unification Church in Nepal.
The Interfaith Group has been operating in Nepal through the Unification Church. Madhav Kumar Nepal has been the main leader and patron of Interfaith Group.
The Unification Church has a worldwide organization. Madhav Kumar Nepal has visited more than 30 countries in the work of the organization. A few months ago, the Unification Church held an international level program in Kathmandu. Madhav Nepal was criticized for drinking Holi wine in the program.
Why Pashupati Nath?
The Unification Church, led by Eknath Dhakal and patronized by Madhav Kumar Nepal, has been running dozens of organizations in Nepal. According to sources, the Unification Church has been running various organizations as well as loose networks.
Interfaith Group has also been operating as a loose network. Gurus of Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist religions are also involved in this organization. Those involved are sent to various countries, including South Korea, every year. Eknath Dhakal and Madhav Nepal’s group have been running Interfaith Group in the name of coordinating between different religions. Externally known as religious harmony and religious harmony, the main objective of the Interfaith Group has been to expand the organization of the Unification Church.
The Unification Church does not preach in the style of traditional and traditional churches. It has been adopting a very different style. It has been trying to persuade poor young people to become members of churches, saying that they will marry people from different countries. Eknath Dhakal, the Nepal head of the Unification Church, has also married a Filipino woman through the church. Eknath and his wife, Blessy Dhakal, are both involved in the expansion of the Unification Church. In the past, Eknath became a member of parliament for the Parivar Dal, which was started by the Unification Church, and also became a minister.
The Unification Church has been expanding the organization of the Unification Church in a subtle way without opposing other religions. For this, the Unification Church has joined hands with the leaders of different religions. The Interfaith Group has been used by religious leaders to support the Unification Church.
It will be a great success for the Unification Church to appoint officials and members of the Pashupati Area Development Fund affiliated with Pashupatinath, a center of faith for Hindus not only in Nepal but also around the world, affiliated with and sympathetic to the Interfaith Group. This is the reason why the newly formed Samajwadi Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal is trying to bring the fund under the control of Interfaith Group.
It is clear that taking over the Pashupati Area Development Fund under the control of the Interfaith Group means taking Pashupati Nath under the control of the church.
According to a source, Madhav Kumar has taken a firm stand with Deuba and Prachanda to bring the fund under the control of Interfaith Group. The fact that Eknath Dhakal has worked hard and invested in Madhav’s newly formed Samajwadi Party has also become public.
