Kathmandu. Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Prachanda has said that the Maoist party would have been dissolved if it was fighting for position, prestige and money. He also urged the leaders and activists to think seriously about this.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday on the occasion of the 22nd Memorial Day of Suresh Wagle (Basu) and Bhimsen Pokhrel, who were killed in an army attack during the People’s War, Prachanda said that there was a danger that the Maoists would reach the place of serving the counter-revolution.
Explaining that he did not want to share his frustration by saying such a thing, Prachanda said, “What is the justification of this party if it is like the UML today, which has so many martyrs, so many sacrifices, so many sacrifices, so many social transformations and revolution?” Instead, it is better to dissolve such a party. ‘
Prachanda said, “If it is to promote position, money, prestige, faction, anarchy and be like UML, then if we are followers of Marx, would it be honest to disband it?” To say that we are carrying out a revolution is to betray the people after the counter-revolution. In order not to be deceived, the discussion of disintegration is going on today. ‘
‘I went to UML’
He pointed out the danger of being confined to the Maoist logo if they were not truthful. “For the sake of position, for the sake of money, for the sake of prestige, for the sake of strengthening the faction. Unbeknownst to us, our party is not a necessary tool for revolution, it is a counter-revolution to reach the place of serving! This threat is very serious.
“It simply came to our notice then. All comrades must think. If we are going to be like that, then there is a debate as to why this party is needed, ‘he said.
‘I Didn’t Know Anything’
Giving the example that Marx and Engels also came to the conclusion that the Communist International he had made was wrong, Prachanda said, “It is not necessary. Those who have to do the same have gone to UML. Some of our friends have gone. If we wanted to do the same, we would have gone too. If you want to go to UML, be like UML, form a faction, earn money, get a position, collaborate with brokers, fulfill their interests, then it is better to be UML. ‘
He said that the Maoists could not do like the UML and the Nepali Congress in this matter. Prachanda said, ‘UML has got everything. They have a network, they have settings. We don’t even have a set. I didn’t know anything. So we fell behind. We can’t compete with them. With the UML and the Congress, in the same way, in the same line, in the same character, in the same feature, we are very small, we are very weak. ‘
‘Transformation will not happen by ordinary force’
He said that the only thing the Maoists could do was revolution for change and transformation. He also said that the Maoists could not be transformed by ordinary force.
“Our specialty is to be able to build a new society. If you can’t do that, then what is the justification for it, comrades, consider the question, ‘Prachanda said,’ not in a negative way. Our transformation did not happen by ordinary force. In essence, the force is a little too much. ‘
He said that the Maoist cadres were characterized by immediate agitation and ready to fight a new kind of people’s war if there was any regression. “We are spoiled, but the passion for revolution, change, responsibility towards the people and the nation has not gone out of our minds. “If the party and the leadership call for change, it has the power to rise up and eat the reactionaries again. This is a good sign for a bright future for all of us,” he said.
