Kathmandu. China will provide 200 million yuan (about 3.63 billion Nepali rupees) in aid to the Taliban, who are on the US terror list. China will provide the same amount of food supplies and corona vaccines, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
A few days ago, China said it wanted to improve relations with the Taliban. China has said it will provide necessary assistance to Afghanistan’s new government to restore peace and order. The Taliban has just announced an interim government. The Taliban has declared the country an “Islamic Emirate”, saying it will run the country according to Sharia law.
China has also welcomed the end of “three weeks of anarchy” in Afghanistan. At a news conference on Wednesday, spokesman Wang Wenbin said the three-week-long anarchy in Afghanistan was over and that “rebuilding the country and maintaining peace is a necessary step now.”

Most countries in the world have adopted a “wait and see” strategy for the Taliban-led government. But China has said it will openly support the Taliban government. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a meeting with the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbors Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan that Afghanistan should be assisted. He also said that 3 million doses of vaccine would be provided to Afghanistan. China has also accused the United States of destroying Afghanistan.
The United States has said it will not immediately recognize the Taliban-led government. He said he was talking to the Taliban about rescuing American citizens in Afghanistan. White House press secretary Jane Sackie said the United States would not immediately recognize it. He says the current government lacks respected and valuable members from the global community. The United States has said that Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting interior minister in the Afghan government, is a “terrorist” affiliated with the Haqqani network.
