Kathmandu. Share market investor Tilak Koirala has started a hunger strike demanding capital market reform. Koirala has started a hunger strike saying that the regulatory body Nepal Securities Board and Nepal Stock Exchange have not done the work required for the development and expansion of capital market.
On Sunday morning, Koirala went on a hunger strike in front of the Nepse building at Singha Durbar Plaza. He added that the risk has increased due to not doing the necessary work for market reform in recent times. Koirala said that he was forced to go on hunger strike as the market development works were hampered due to the increased risk.
“There are 18 things that need to be done now. Those things should not have been done a year ago,” Koirala told Online Khabar. He said that he would continue his hunger strike until these demands from the government are met.
