Balewa. General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (Masal) Mohan Bikram Singh has said that the problems in the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) are not limited to that party.
At a press conference held by the Progressive Journalists Association Baglung in Baglung on Monday, Singh said that the CPN (Maoist) dispute would also affect important issues such as defense of the constitution, institutionalization of the republic and protection of secularism.
“At such a time, foreign powers and reactionaries raise their heads,” he said. He says the current situation is created to remove secularism and pass the MCC agreement.
Singh remarked that the Prime Minister had made a mistake by dissolving the House of Representatives. “It is a constitution made after six decades of fighting. All achievements are lost when the constitution is not defended,” he said.
He indicated that Masal had withdrawn its support to the federal government and would continue to support the Gandaki state government.
