The temple was vandalized while people were celebrating Lord Krishna’s birthday. In Pakistan, blasphemy against Islam is punishable by death, but crimes against non-Muslim deities are not punishable.

Relief John Austin is a Pakistani-born Christian. They have been raising their voices to return home for the minorities. He was forced to flee Pakistan and now lives in South Korea with his family.

Janmashtami is celebrated every year on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. Believers celebrate the day with a fast and prayers in temples. According to the Hindu calendar, Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born on the eighth day of August. According to the western calendar, the day usually falls in the month of August or September.

Attacks on places of worship for religious minorities in Pakistan have increased in recent years. The country has been repeatedly condemned by the international community for failing to protect the interests of minorities. Earlier this month, a mob of more than a dozen men armed with batons vandalized a Hindu temple in Rahim Yar Khan’s Bhong village, chanting slogans insulting Hindu deities and kicking idols at places of worship. . Earlier this month, a mob of more than a dozen men armed with sticks vandalized a Hindu temple in Rahim Yar Khan’s Bhong village, chanting slogans insulting Hindu deities and kicking idols at places of worship.
