Kathmandu. Chief Minister of Province 2 Mohammad Lalbabu Raut Gaddi has shown grandeur in Madhes. He has made the city ugly by placing his hoarding boards in various places. In the name of hoarding boards, the state coffers have been emptied and they have not only enjoyed propaganda but also work. The hunger for publicity can be seen in Raut. The National Unity Campaign was launched against this. The campaign started removing hoarding boards all over Madhes to make the city ugly.
Similarly, Sunita Sah, National Vice-Chairperson of the ‘Chief Minister’s Sanitation Campaign’ was arrested while removing a hoarding board in Saptari. Police arrested Sunita on Monday evening after removing the hoarding board of the Chief Minister’s Sanitation Campaign at the Hanuman Temple premises in Hanumanagar Kankalini Municipality of Saptari.
In the name of power, the Chief Minister has instructed the police before taking legal action against him. It has been alleged that Chief Minister Raut has put up hoarding boards in the name of Chief Minister’s Sanitation Campaign by committing massive financial irregularities. Thus, the national unity campaign has taken the lead.
Earlier, the youths had removed the hoarding board of the Chief Minister’s Sanitation Campaign from the premises of Janaki Temple.
Warning to burn if not released
The National Unity Campaign has warned to set fire to Madhes if Vice President Sah is not released. In a statement, Chairman Vinay Yadav said, “We have drawn attention to the arrest of Sunita Sah, Vice-Chairperson of the National Unity Campaign, for burning a hoarding board with a photo of Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut at the Kankalini Temple in Bhardaha, Saptari, which is considered the center of faith of Hindus.”
The statement said that there was a conspiracy to make a hoarding board in the place of sacrificing the photo of the Chief Minister made by the Muslim community in the Hindu temples.
It is sad that even when hoarding boards are installed, the temple committees allow the board to be installed and protected by the cadres of the Chief Minister. “We want to inform that the Hindu activists were forced to burn the hoarding boards after the team including the vice-chairman of the campaign Sah requested the Hanuman Municipality to remove the hoarding boards but they refused to do so,” the statement said.
The statement also demanded the immediate release of Sunita Sah, vice-chairperson of the campaign, who was arrested by the police for removing and burning hoarding boards.
It has also been warned that if Vice President Sah is not released, he will be forced to join the National Unity Campaign.
