The National Unity Campaign has burnt an idol in Birgunj in protest against Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut Gaddi. Accusing the government of trying to turn Province 2 into a Taliban by bringing Madrasa Education Bill, the campaign has protested by burning posters with a picture of Chief Minister Raut in his home district of Birgunj.
Participants in the protest rally chanted slogans such as “Reject Madrasa Vidyayak”, “Province 2 should not be turned into Taliban”, and “Nepal should be a Hindu nation”. The protest rally in front of the Mysthan temple in Birgunj turned into a corner rally at Ghantaghar Chowk in Birgunj.
Addressing the corner meeting, Chairman of the National Unity Campaign Binay Yadav accused Pakistan of trying to turn Province 2 into a Taliban by bringing Madrasa Education Bill to Nepal.
He accused Chief Minister Raut Gaddi of acting as an ISI agent and envoy of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and trying to create a Taliban by bringing madrassa education in Province 2 at the behest of Pakistan.
He said that there are community schools in Nepal, education is not provided by asking any caste in the schools, there is no discrimination in education but what is the meaning of bringing Madrasa Education Bill?

Chairman Yadav also accused Chief Minister Gaddi of spending more than Rs 180 million to further expand madrasas and mosques in State 2 for Islamization, but only by spending Rs 30 million on Hindu temples here.
In the protest program presided over by the district president of the campaign Shyam Kishor Tiwari, the president of the National Student Council Vivek Kushwaha, Hindu Abhiyanata Purushottam Duve, Dr. Anil Jha, former president of Brahman Samaj Devnath Upadhyay and other Hindu leaders were present.
